My printers, scanners and other peripherals work well.
Each time I move my notebook from the office to home and
plug in peripherals (whether USB or Parallel Port)
Windows XP gives the message detected new hardware and
tries to reinstall the existing drivers. I cancel each
time and everything works, but it is a real hassle that
XP fails to recognize existing installed drivers when I
reconnect peripherals.
Any ideas of what is causing this? I didn't have the
problem in earlier versions of XP. It happened after the
system was updated in one of the many XP updates.
