Since I upgraded my computer from Windows 98 SE to
Windows XP Professional, the floppy disk drive has been
malfunctioning in the following weird way: the floppy
drive always shows the file names of the first floppy
disk that I had inserted earlier but removed later no
matter which floppy disk is inside the drive. It still
shows all the file names of the first disk even the
current disk is an empty one! I have to restart the
computer in order to work with another floppy disk.
How to resolve this weird and puzzling problem? Would
any one please help! Thanks.

Do you see the contents of the floppy after you have pressed F5 ??

Thank you for your response. After I pressed F5, I still
saw the contents of the other floppy disk, not the disk
inside the drive.
