printer, scanner, copier

I have an HP series 900 printer, scanner, copier. My
scanner was not working so I uninstalled (using HP
uninstaller). I am now trying to reinstall this and keep
getting the message that a file exists in
c:\windows\Installer. When I check for the filename
nothing is found. Help!

Carole, go to Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View. Make sure that
Show hidden files and folders is clicked
and uncheck Hide protected operating system files.
