Tom,
I have the same Sound Card as Well, If you have problems
with the sound go to www.soundblaster.com and go to the
Support page and download the Live!Driver Pack , and that
has all the up to date Drivers.
Also, make sure that the card is showing up on your
computer , this shows that it is plugged in corectly and
that its probly just a driver issue . And if the Live!
Driver package doesnt work see if you can Set your card
into another PCI slot.
