Won't open

I have windows messenger 5.0 (latest) and it refuses to open. My problem isnt like some people who just cant sign in, my windows messenger wont open AT ALL! Whether i click on the start menu link, or go to the main directory and try to open it from there,
it just does nothing. I get the little egg timer thingy for a micro second but nothing happens. If anybody has any suggestions they would be appreciated. P.S. I am the administrator and have full access to it. It is also enabled in "Set program access and
Defaults".

Greetings,

Download and run these .reg files in the affected account:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablewindowsmessenger_user.reg
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablemessenger.reg
After running these, reboot and then try opening Windows Messenger again.

I really appreciate your help, but I have already solved my problem with windows messenger. Thanks for your help anyway. I would like to know why, though, anyone uses windows messenger when MSN messenger looks better and does more?
