I have an LS120 and no "real" floppy drive. XP keeps
trying to make the LS120 the B drive even when no A drive
is installed. I've tried everything including disabling
the floppy controllers on the mobo (I am a PC tech so
please don't talk to me like I'm a fool). If anyone have
some idea how I can change the drive letters on a floppy
(since you can't in computer management!), please let me
know. Thanks-a-bunch.

By design, the LS-120 is set to set itself up as drive B as to avoid any
conflicts.
In order for the LS-120 to be used as the A drive, the BIOS has to be
written to do so and most times it's done only by OEM's...

I set the jumper on my LS-120 as 'slave'. Windows X P recognizes the drive
as "A"

Besides disabling the floppy controller, you also have to tell the BIOS that there is no floppy
drive, look through the BIOS for any floppy settings and set to none. After you reboot you may have
to remove the LS-120 from the device manager so that it can find it again and assign it the A: .
