PLEASE!!! Can someone please tell me how to disable the
touchpad on my laptop? I have already followed the info.
on setting up a hardware profile for docked/undocked
laptops, but it does'nt say how/where the touchpad is
located in the Device Manager - to disable this touchpad
and use my portable mouse when the laptop is docked.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this as it's
driving me crazy!

Hi Rob -

Different laptops utilize different methods for disabling the touchpad.

Some utilize a BIOS setup option that you access before Windows starts to
load. Some utilize a Windows-based setup program. Some have settings in
their driver that are accessed via Device Manager.

Unfortunately crystal balls don't work very well. Help us help you: please
post the make and model of your laptop and someone will certainly be along
who is familiar with your computer.

Jef
