When I start windows it locks up for over a minute,,

It boots up just fine, log me in just fine but just when
everything is loaded it just hangs up.
Sometimes I can start a program by clicking an icon on the
desktop but I can't open the start-menu, sometimes I can't
do either.
I've checked several times to see if there's some process
running that shouldn't be but there's nothing unusual to be
found there, as a matter in fact I've tried to shut down
each process until there's only the system processes left..

Please help, it's really annoying..

Hi,

Start/run msconfig, go to the services tab and disable Windows Image
Acquisition, click apply/ok and reboot. Does this help?
