Help. I need to know how to turn off my virus protection
while I install a new program. How do I perform this task?

Hello
Depending on which software that you use, go into the help
section and read how to turn it off, both Mcafee and Norton's
has a help menu that you can lookup

Just FYI;
99% of programs will install successfully with your AV program running. I
would never install a program that demanded that my AV be turned off. At
worst scenario, you will be asked to allow a certain action, with you having
the option of allowing it or not.
I know you get a warning to stop all other programs, but if you have more
than 128MB of Ram in your computer you should have no problems.
