I'm not sure what to say is wrong with my computer. It's
been acting weird lately. I have not added anything that
seemingly screwed anything up. So, I am at a loss.
I get the following errors at various times:
LWI.exe error message random times
Windows File Protection message when trying to restore
Windows Installer not correctly installed pretty much
with any insertion of CD such as XP.
My computer runs mostly fine. I have been cutting data
CDs to back things up just in case. That's running fine.
I tried reinstalling XP from the CD at one point,
assuming that a box would appear that would give me the
option to re-install or make corrections to directory
entries or something. The install dies after beginning
to check my system. The black screen is ok for a few
minutes. Not hours or days. So, now I have to choose
between my original operating system and the install that
doesn't do anything.
Can anyone help... Can I re-install basic directory files
or do I just swipe and start over?
