Hi,
I installed Windows XP Home Edition onto my computer. It's the upgrade to
the Windows 98SE.
Recently when I go to shut down or restart I get an error msg. Telling me
that my virtual memory is low. How can I can the performance to allow for
more virtual memory?
Thanks,
Mona Low

In xp pro, you can open the system applet from the control panel in classic
view. On the performance tab, you can click virtual memory / paging file.
Adjust the settings to allow windows to manage it and then reboot.

If you have an intel chipset then visit the www.intel.com site and locate
the intel accelerator for your board and install it (note only works with
intel chipset)
Low virtual memory error at shutdown (only shutdown) might be related to the
Live Update feature in Norton Internet Security. Symantec has posted a fix
for this problem. Download the file LRSETUP.EXE from
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html
Check this out if you aren't using NIS
