I recently bought a hard drive for extra storage and I
would like to add it to my PC (without removing the
current one). What is the procedure to format this second
hard drive?

Did your hard drive come with an install cd or floppy? All necessary
instructions should be on those media, or available on the website of the
drive manufacturer.

A Google search of "install second hard drive" yields many, many hits on
this topic - I suggest you follow one of the many good instructions on the
