I had only 1 reply which did not resolve my problem of the 6/7/2004 , so here it is again as it is still with me , and I did not explain clearly the problem anyway , so ... When I go to , HELP and SUPPORT >TOOLS > Computer Information > "View a list of Mi
crosoft Software on this Computer".... I see listed 2 entries for CTFMON.EXE apparently identical and dated the same date . I would think I have done something twice( I think I may have downloaded something) but cannot remember what I have done .I briefly
read through the article refered to in the reply by JJ , and though the article refered to CTFMON.EXE the article does not mention my OS , Windows XP Home Edition . Can someone tell me how to remove either or both the CTFMON.EXE entries , as it seems I
should not even have 1 , though I do not know what my Computer is doing with 1 CTFMON.EXE ! Thankyou for any help

Can I Remove the Ctfmon.exe File?
Removing the Ctfmon.exe might cause problematic behavior in your Office XP
programs, so removing it is not recommended. To prevent Ctfmon.exe from
running, follow these steps.
