Hi
I'm a novice, so please be patient. I want to get rid of 2 viruses. I've downloaded the free version of Symantec Antivirus, and I can see the file sitting in my windows/download folder. However I can't run it. How do I do this?
Is it because I downloaded the free version? which means that it only works when you call it from Symantec's site?, or am I just thick?
any advice welcome

I would say the first one. This is like free viewers from MS for certain
apps; can see but very little else can be done. Answer is obvious; purchase
and install the latest version of NAV or some other antivirus program which
can be updated (:

I suspect it is a program that has to be executed. Double click on it and
follow instructions.
