which messenger should I use?

I have two Messenger applications on my machine. I wish
to video and voice message in messenger with others who
are running older MS OSs (ME, etc.). Which version should
I use, Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger? I run Windows
XP, SP1. Thank you for the help.

If you wish to communicate with non XP users you should use the MSN
Messenger, and you will need to use the "Webcam" function, since the non XP
machine is not capable of the video function of used by the normal Messenger
programs.
