USB hard disk

The USB-HD is recognized. It can be removed securely.
Everything seems to be fine.
However, it doesn't show up in the Explorer.
Any advice ?

Yes, it was formatted.
What a silly mistake: just the drive letter was missing,
so, XP recognized the drive but didn't show it.
Why does this single missing letter prevent XP from
showing the drive, Bill Gates ?
