Do you have any spyware in your machine?
About the usage of CPU when you move the mouse, I found in
my laptop, moving the mouse taxes my CPU between 5 to 25%.
When I pass over some links on a web page could reach 30%.
This laptop has a Pentium III at 1GHz and 128 MB of
memory. In the past I use to have hotbar and another kind
of spyware on this machine and those really slow down this
laptop. Anti-virus take a lot of it too. When I am not on
line, I shut down this anti-virus software because it
really slow down this laptop too. Close any application
that is open and it is useless at the moment. If that PC
is at your work, you should be aware of enforcing spyware
techniques from your IT department. When I am in a hurry,
I disconnect the laptop from the network. I do not need IT
dept, to take notes of every keystroke I do and surely
those programs slow down the machine also.
Best regards,
