My window XP Professional occasionally freezes up when I
turn off the computer. What happens is that after I
press the command "turn off", I get the messages
of "turning off" and "saving your settings", and then the
computer freezes and would not turn itself off. In such
cases, I have to resort to manually turning it off.

I have heard that there is an window update to remedy
this problem. If so, please advise me as to how to get
this update, or any other way to solve this problem.

Thank you.
