So I've had this atlas micro 2.26ghz desktop for a year or
so and I just noticed that when it boots up it says that
the ultra dma-6 is present and not enabled and that the
usb 2.0 ports are only working at 1.0. this eems to be a
problem with drivers related to the xp home edition os
from what i've gleaned from researching the web, (it has
an msi 6547 board), can I get this working at optimal
speed?

Have you gone to the board makers website for patches? If you have no UDMA6
drives installed, then UDMA6 is not required. You need to get the USB
updates from the motherboard maker's site.

Go to www.belarc.com Download their free System Inventory Utility. It
will give you a complete listing of your devices
and software. IF you have a MSI 6547 Board then go to MSI site and download
the latest drivers for it.

You are looking for USB2.0 SIS chipset Drivers and SIS AGP Drivers.
