hanging

i have installed xp home on computer it all looks ok but
it keeps hanging. have tryed reinstalling no good .help ?

We can't help without SOME information from you. :>( You're sitting there
looking at your computer, but all we know is what you put in your post -
which is nothing but "it keeps hanging."

At what point does it hang? Before or after your desktop appears? When you
try to launch an application? While the app is running after it starts?
When you try to see a directory in Explorer?

WHEN?

And how long did you wait to see if it is really hung, or just working
furiously on something in the background?
