Messenger suddenly began to fail when it tries to open. The following is the
"Error signature" in the notice the system wants to send to Microsoft:
AppName: msmsgs.exe AppVer: 4.7.0.2009 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 6e31c2e0
NAV is installed, but Instant Messenger protection is turned off.
Re-installing Windows Messenger 4.7 seemed to cure the problem for several
hours, but it returned.
Running a complete system check with NAV, Ad-aware and SpyBot (all current)
turns up no problems.
Any ideas?
