I have xp home edition and am trying to decide if i
should upgrade to professional. I do not work from home
as of yet hopefully in the future this will be something
i could do. But i did hear that it is better to upgrade
anyways to professional, is that true? Will there be any
problems if I were to upgrade?
Any advice would be truly appreciated,
Thank you,
Sue

It is always good to give money to poor Bill Gates, so you should
upgrade every piece of M$ software at least once a year. <grin>
XP PRO is better than XP HE in a handful of ways, which you can find
on M$'s website. If XP PRO does not offer any feature that you need,
then stick with XP HE and save your $s; XP PRO is no more stable than
XP HE.
Key XP PRO features include more security (which is more difficult to
maintain), and the ability to join a domain in addition to the
ability to join a peer-to-peer network.
