Well maybe it is, you will need to go to www.hp.com
and look up yoour printer and see if their are any drivers
for it that support XP

Both the DesignJet 600 and the DeskJet 600 are both compatible with XP and
the drivers are included with XP.

You wouldn't be trying to install Win9x drivers would you now? Because they
most certainly are incompatible with XP.
