I am looking for a PCMCIA card reader/writer that works
with XP. I have tried several but have been told they
don't work due to conflicts with XP. No fixes
available. I don't need a card, but I do need a reader
to reprogram the cards. It can be internal or external.

I have done several searches, I have talked to IBM (PC
mfgr), I have talked to the manufacturers of the readers
that I have previously purchased. Nobody seems to be
able to help me (yet). Thanks!

A lot of pcmcia readers work with XP.
You did not explain how your readers are conflicting with XP but
it is definitely not a XP problem. You may dump your PC,
or get a cheap notebook with PCMCIA slot or USB card reader.
