"New programs installed" message!

I installed few new softwares on my new PC. It has been a while now and I
opened all of them from the start menu. The problem is that I still get the
notification "New programs installed" when I point to "All Programs"! How
long is this notification supposed to last? Is there a way to get rid of it
and shut off this feature in XP? Thanks in advance.

Right click the Start button | Properties | Start Menu tab |
Customize button | Advanced tab | UNCheck: � Highlight
Newly installed programs | OK | Apply | OK
