Last night I had a system crash while I turned off my TV Panel, The
system did not restart automatically although it has been set to restart in
recovery settings and I received a blue screen with information on the error
that occurred. I could not note down the error details. It said something
about faulty video drivers. I have a NVIDIA GeForce MX 200 card with latest
45.23 drivers, and I guess this problem could be related to the TV Tuner
card drivers as it had one two accounts caused a restart in the similar
fashion. The only difference was that previously my system used to restart
without any error and this time it did not and instead brought the 'blue'
screen to me. I am using the TV Tuner card from the 1 yr or so on the same
machine. And I have the latest available drivers.
This was just a background, now the problem that I am facing is that a
chkdsk run before startup (the one which runs with both options checked)
freezes at 93 % in the 4th stage (probably file checking) and results in a
manual shut down and then a restart. I have run defrag also. I don't know
where to search for information on the crash details that I had last night.
But I am more concerned of the chkdsk running properly, I am afraid
something is wrong. Can someone please help. Thanking in anticipation.
