Floppy Disk Drive

I installed a new floppy disk drive yesterday. Now the
system keeps saying that the floppy that I insert needs to
be formatted. My disk are formatted and have information
already on them. How can I correct this problem? My system
used Windows XP.

Have you tried reseating the connections or reversed the connectors? If it
still doesn't work then try using the floppy disk drive outside the screw
slots (i.e leave the floppy drive dangling from the connectors or on top of
something). If it works then screw it back (trial and error method).
