I recently obtained a USB 2 Kanguru Flash Drive having 1
Gig. capcity at work. I don't have any issue with the
device using my Work PC and Laptop, which use Windows
2000 Pro. When I use the micro drive at home on my PC
(the home PC has Windows XP Home)I have many issues. The
USB port on my Dell Dimension 4550 senses the drive and
an icon appears in the system try so everything seems
ok. However, I have to right click on My Computer and
open Disk Management to view the micro drive. Then, I
can explore the drive and view the contents. The drive
will not show when I open Windows Explorer. Some of the
files will not appear. My only workaround on this issue
was to drop a shortcut icon on my Desktop. I use this to
access the USB micro drive. I'm at wits end trying to
solve this issue. I'm thinking about reinstalling
Windows XP Home again just in case something become
corrupted or the reg is an issue. Any suggestions?
