Hello ALL,
My CD-R/RW Have disappeared. I did the Regedt32 and removed the Upper Filter
and Lower Filter from the Registry entry HKEY_Local_Machine\System...etc.
as per MS Q314060, which basically locates the Filters in that Registry key.
After a restart, XP still cant setup the drives. They are not on <MY
Computer> or on the <Device Manager>. after many iterations of Boot and Find
new Hardware, they may showup and then disappear after 10- 20 minutes.
I am also running ROXIO Easy CD Creator 5 with their latest update. Do I
need to remove the ROXIO software also ?
Would replacing the CD drives with DVD which is where I was heading anyway
work or do I need to fix this XP problem first?
