Modem And Faxing

I recently uninstalled winfax pro 10.0. My commputer
picks up after 2 rings . How can I correct this? I dont
have any faxing programs running.

MS Fax in Win XP can also receive faxes

1. check your "Printers and Faxes" look for a FAX printer.
2. right click on the fax and choose properties
-- click on DEVICES tab
-- click on PROPERTIES button
-- click on RECEIVING tab
3. remove the check mark from "Enable device to receive"

WinFax Pro 10.0 is *NOT* XP compatible - you must upgrade to 10.02. Please
see Symantec's website - this is nothing to do with Windows.

It's in the program setup options, which you should run through.
