I have recently noticed Outlook Express is slow to load.
I went to Windows Update. Windows XP was originally set
to pull & install auto updates. Last update I had was
June 13, 2002. When trying to run update it freezes ar
Zero. In looking at the suggestions for this problem, it
suggested installing the lastest script engine. No help.
It suggested changing the security level & changing the
LAN settings under connections to remove it from Auto
Detect settings. None of these helped. My system has been
running fine. Just Outlook over the last few weeks is
slower. Obviously something happended around 6/13/02 to
stop the auto updates. I run with an up to date Norton
Virus scan. Since about the same time my son has not been
able to export music to his Sony Mini Disc player.
Possibly this is related. Any ideas anyone?
