Language on bootup different to language after bootup

Hi,

I have Windows XP Home Edition. Intially the PC was
installed with the French version but this was chnaged by
upgrading to the English UK version.

However, when I first bootup the PC my password needs to
be entered as if the system, including the keyboard, are
French. Once logged in the system and the keyboard work as
if it is English (UK).

Any suggestions as to what I need to change to ensure that
my system is English (UK) all the time?
