help in stopping or correcting a nwin.exe and workflow.exe errors?

I want to install a cable modem but an error message that
state "WORKFLOW EXECUTABLE...." WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO
INSTALL THE MODEM. FINALLY, WHY DOES NWIN.EXE ERROR COME
UP EVERYTIME I START MY COMPUTER?
