Hi!
I have a DELL Inspiron 8000, for which I just bought a new
CD-RW/DVD drive. The drive is a LG CD-RW/DVD GCC 4240N.
However XP Pro is seeing it as a LG CD-RW GCE 8080N, which
is just a CD-RW. As a result when I put in a DVD, XP does
not see it at all, but reads and writes CD's perfectly. I
know it is the write drive, as it even has written on it
what type of drive it is.
My question is, does anyone know how to get XP to actually
read what it really is?
Thanks!
