If you have drivers that came with the CD-RW/DVD drive, I
would update the installed drivers with those. The OS is
using what data it has available, and new drivers should
be able to provide newer data for XP to work with. Also,
if the vendor has a web site, look to see if any bugs are
being reported and/or corrected with regard to the error
that you are seeing.
