I just installed XP and am attempting to update with the
recommended Microsoft critical updates. With Windows 98
there was a download and install window that monitored
progress. I cannot see this with the XP edition and have
aborted the download and installs several times because I
think they MUST be don by now.

Is there a was that I can view a progress window?

Thanks

After selecting a update,a agreement window usually shows, then the download
begins,a progress bar and or graph level is always shown, monitor by the
graph bar.If one isnt showing, chk youre display adapter,and/or go to run,
type:Msinfo32 Hardware,problem devices,forced hardware,etc..

I suspect your install may have botched. You should be
getting a window showing the download progress/status
on the first line, the installation progress on the
second line.
