Open the my computer, right click the hard drive, select
properties, then tools tab, error checking, and it will
only run during the next reboot. Error checking is also
called check disk, (like the old scan disk tool). Be sure
to choose only the first option for "automatically fix
file system errors" in that dialog box. Try the system
file checker tool, ( click start, run, type in; "
sfc /scannow " ) with that space after the sfc. I use
Diskeeper from Executive Software, found here;
