Problems with microsoft works wordprocesser

Please can anyone help me with my problem in the works
wordprocesser ? When typing letters they are compressed
so close together that you can not read what you have
typed . It came installed with my compaq computer
microsoft xp home addition . It seems that a half space
is used instead of a full space . I have searched until
my eyes have almost fallen out and can not find any
information on how to correct problem . Would be most
gratefull if anyone can assist me with a solution .

Hi,

Use the Format | Font menu and then switch to the
character spacing and modify the spacing value untill you
are able to view the words properly.
