View Full Version : Customizing "Appearance of a Single Folder"

I am having the following problem since the first time I
have installed Windows XP Professional. The problem occurs
whenever I try to customize my "Appearance of a Single
Folder". Let's say I set a certain folder to "Music Album
(best for tracks from one album)". I also check the option
"Also apply this template to all subfolders" if necessary.
This all sounds and looks cool, but this setting is not
stable. What I mean is that by time (matter of hours) the
folder's setting changes to something else, usually to
some other of the options, for example to "Documents (for
any file type)" or to any other option. I have also found
some of the folders randomly set to any of the options
available, even I had set them to different ones
previously. Pictures have the habits to change to Videos,
Music to Documents, etc. This is really driving me nuts. I
am really neat individual, and I believe nobody else is
really concerned about this kind of a problem, thinking of
it as a minor unimportant issue. IT ****ES ME OFF THOUGH!!!
Why is the setting of the folders so unstable? Is it a bug
or some kind of a virus, or what? It's been over a year I
am trying to solve this problem and I am not successful.
That's why I am asking for help. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE
SETTINGS OF MY FOLDERS STABLE? I know there has to be some
registry entry to be edited or created in order to
accomplish that -> CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW CAN I
STABILIZE THE SETTINGS? Sincerely, Paul Sevcik. Please
answer me at " Thank you.
