System hangs

Windows XP Home - After using msconfig to disable startup
programs to install hp psc 1210 all in one printer, the
printer works fine. After using msconfig to enable
startup programs the system hangs about 1 minute after
reboot. I have 384mb ram and 8gb of hard disk space free.
