checked to ensure it is not timed for shutdown on the

compatible hardware. One other ghastly thought,
motherboard or CPU overheating. Intel boards and AMD CPUs
have that reputation. Do you have enough cooling fans in

do suspect also the device driver thing tho, can u tell me which nvidia
drivers you use and what bios version you got?

i dont got any option on in bios for video, as for the Chipset its a SIS
648, its a pentium 4 and theres no fan probs as its a new pc, just been one
months now,my motherboard sensors read:

CPU @ 36C
Motherboard @ 44C

which i think is normal temp..i would sure like to know more about that
"monitor wakeup" thing, about my motherboard and nivdia problems...if any'1
of you could please shed more light on it.

My bios is ACPI Bios revision 1004 10/02/2002 and is
the most up to date.

well i got exactly same driver version and bios version...i'm thinking of
trying in my old geforce 2 card in this pc and see if it solves
problems...if yes then its prolly my new geforce fx card...if not i'll be
putting out all cards and run em 1 by 1 to try and catch the problem.

any kinda advice is totaly welcomed! :)

Hi,

well i did play arround with taking out different hardware in my pc and
installig em 1 by 1...for the moment it didnt restart like b'4,but i did get
1 blue screen of death!

i think it was with my DXR3 dvd mpeg card...as it hav beta drivers for
xp...creative never released a final one...but b'4 i didnt hav any of such
problem with my old motherboard (ASUS CUV4X) on winxp...

can it be incompatible with SIS chipset? or somthing, cause old mobo was a
VIA chipset...

Linda can you please tell me if you installed any "SIS agp drivers for the
motherboard" ? if yes which version?

NO, I haven't installed any SIS AGP drivers. The driver
version I am showing is 6.1.3010.0 and I believe it is a
windows driver.

I am having the same problem with this mobo with XP or 2000. The blue screen

hum mine is "7.2.0.1140" i got it from asus.com, sis agp drivers, can u
check if in the detonator menu of ur card, if ur gfx card showing that its
runing on AGP bus or PCI ?, coz me without installing that sis agp drivers
my detonator menu said that my gfx card was runing on PCI bus...
