I am having trouble instaling the practice Files.
I have followed the instructions but the file does not
show up on my computer on the C drive

If you follow the directions, you should end up with a folder named SBS
that's right off of C:
C:\SBS\WindowsXP\... and then a series of subfolders.
There will not be a shortcut for this in your Start Menu. Press Windows
key and the letter E to pop up Windows Explorer. Click on the C: drive
to see a list of folders on the left.
Click the + next to SBS and you'll see the WindowsXP folder. Click the +
next to that.
One more "branch" of the folder tree extends and you'll see the names of
several folders: Connecting, Personalizing, Playing and so on. Some will
have + signs and subfolders as well. A + usually means there are more
folders inside. I say "usually" because sometimes Windows will
mistakenly toss an extra + in and there is no subfolders.
The exercises in the book will tell you what folder and file to work
your way to. Just a reminder that when you click on a folder in the left
column, its contents (files and possibly other folders) will display in
the column on the right side.
