View Full Version : Excel file sharing violation

When my user tries to save an Excel file, error message
appears: 'Your changes to ...exe file could not be saved,
but were saved to a temporary file....' It is some kind
of a sharing violation, but the user is allowed to
read/change/delete that file, so that makes no sense.
There are some vague solutions on microsoft support site,
but none really tell me what I need to do to fix this
problem. I am using Office 2000 and 2002 on Windows XP.
Help please...

There are Excel newsgroups on Microsoft's news server. May want to ask
