With certain modems and Windows XP, when you query the
modem it comes back with the following message AT
#CLS=? "Command not supported." My ISP claims that this
means that my modem is not resetting and this is the
reason that I cannot connect with their servers. Using
their software I cannot authenticate. However, with a
manual connection I can connect fine to the local server.
I believe that the AT #CLS=? "Command not supported" has
nothing to do with it since my other machine with XP also
gets the same message when I query the modem, but connects
fine with both their software and with the manual
connection. Could some one please explain to me exactly
what this AT #CLS=? "Command not supported" means. Does it
really mean that my modem is not resetting? Any feedback
is greatly appreciated
