How do I delete searches

Example: When I type a name into google, it remains there
and I can't find how to delete it. Can anyone help.

Click on the box when you first get there and it is blank. A list of the
names will drop down and you can highlight the one you want to take out, and
hit the delete key.
Also in Internet Properties (in control panel) go to the content tab, and
click on the autocomplete button. A box will come up to delete all the
names, and it will have boxes to check/uncheck as what of to keep a list of.
