With Windows XP Home Edition, whenever I create a new
folder and check properties it shows "Read only". If the
read only box is unchecked and "Apply" and then "OK" are
selected the folder shows "Read only" the next time I
check properties.
If I check the properties of the folder from another
computer on the network (running Win 98se) the file does
NOT show "Read only".
In fact all the folders on the computer with XP Home
show "Read only" even though I can rename and/or delete
them.
I have been through Safe Mode setting "Full Access" to all
users.
Help and suggestions will be appreciated.
