I upgraded Windows Messanger 4.7 to 5.0 and ever since,
EVERY time I try to use Adobe Acrobat Reader, the Windows
Installer tries and fails to install Windows Messanger
5.0 AGAIN!!! I've already tried to uninstall it, tried
removing the Windows Component for it through the
Add/Remove Programs Control Panel, and have just
uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Reader WITH NO
RESULTS!!! I need help with this as I'm getting extremely
annoyed at having to cancel the installer 9 times!!!

Greetings Bruce,

To fix this, firstly, uninstall Windows Messenger 5 by clicking Start, then Run, and type the
following:
msiexec /x {1F0BD960-6525-4FEE-B577-2473F77F1277}
then click OK.

Then, after uninstallation, reinstall Windows Messenger 5 from:
http://microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=77c3799f-6388-4193-8002-be55584c1ac1
