Don't be too anxious. I just tried the latest version yesterday (a 264 MB
download, ouch, try that on your Funk & Wagnall's) and found it screwed
up a program on my PC. I couldn't report a bug because there are so
many bugs being reported (according to MS) that the bug reporter doesn't
work. I went to the SP2 newsgroup and noticed the beta testers saying
things like "this thing is getting worse". Maybe Carey Frisch will
enlighten us with his knowledge, he's a beta tester you know...a while back
he told us so.

Funny, I am running SP2 RC2 with absolutely no problems at
all. Except to say that for some inexplicable reason my MS
Office spreadsheets (excel) would not open. I cured that by
removing and reinstalling Office XP.

Other than that, all is well, in fact, it may be my
imagination, but internet access via my cable modem seems
faster and snappier though download speeds remain the same.
