i have put speach software on my system and microphone
keeps muting can any one help

Hi, Mike.

You gave us no clues as to the hardware or software you are using. :>(

A generic starting point might be to click on the speaker icon in your
SysTray (the Notification area near the clock, usually in the lower right
corner of your screen) and make sure your speakers are not muted and the
volume is high enough to hear something. Then double-click that same
speaker icon to bring up the Play Control window. Explore this window for a
while. You should find controls to mute or adjust the volume of many
different sound devices - depending on our own hardware configuration.
Among many other settings, you can Mute the Microphone here - or un-Mute it.
