No, nobody knows. Probably not even anyone at Microsoft. If they
knew, they would announce a release date, and that hasn't
happened yet.

When they think that beta testing has identified all the
important problems, and they've fixed those problems, they'll
release it. Until that happens, nobody knows.

Estimates (not promises) are for it to be released sometime later
this summer or in the fall.

It's not only the code for Sp2 being ready. Microsoft has a "Big"
job in training and documentation for the Service Pack. I would
suspect that Sp2 will premier as the Summer edition of the MS
Security Update CD-ROM. This may actually be the first time
in Microsoft history that a Service Pack gets its own TV ad.
You'll likely see displays with the disk at retailers such as Best
Buy.Seems like I read somewhere that Microsoft will spend $300
Million for SP2.

From a security standpoint it will be worth the wait. But the
MVP's are going to earn their standing when it finally arrives.
(Lot's of changes - which means lots of postings)
